Congratulations on the show. Don't know what to say about the sale of The Southern Cross except to say you know you're always welcome on the Bluebeard and Bluebeard Too.

patrick.....its kind like i'm living my life in reverse. i spent the first 15 years of adulthood surfing and skiing and then i gradually (very gradually) accepted some responsibility and now im a full on hard charger...into family and career. it took till i was 60 before i realized theres a finish line up there and if there's stuff you mean to do...you better get at it.

i still plan to surf and fish this summer however.

thanks walter. still havethe inflateable(even if its not really mine) 2 canoes, 3 kayaks , and 4 surfboards......i'll still get wet. always available to crew....not THAT busy. friends and family first.

Guys, I bought Randall's boat - I promise to give Southern Cross a great new home. We look forward to many happy years with her.

Thank you Randall!

Wow Randall,
I had no idea you were really going to sell her, I thought you were joking when I caught that little added bit at the end of the post on the British Car...

Not that I could have offered you more than some chunks of mahogany for it.... :) but I have been casually (very casually) looking for a v-drive 25.. I'm sure she went to a good home...

Hope you'll be back into one soon..and also stay active here.

Wishing you luck in the upcoming show in NY...

Randall:

Sorry to hear you sold Southern Cross, however, as I know very fell, this is a friendly sandbox -- they let ex-owners like me still play!

I admire you for getting to the things that are important to you at this point in your life. When I get the B25 done, hopefully next year, you are always welcome!

Sraab98 - welcome aboard, you will find this is the best bunch of friends you will ever have!

Best regards,

Tom

Randall...

We lived our lives in reverse.. I spent the first third growing up and getting "educated".. the second third working "for the man" and later was self employed.. and now I am rebuilding a Bertram and enjoying my grandkids!

Good luck in whatever stage you are in now!

Randall,

As you probably remember from brews big TV spot my wife works for fox 5 on 67 and 3rd. If you have some sort of press release I can shoot it over to her. I can't promise they'll provide any coverage but it can't hurt if you have something already made up.

Good luck!

Looks like I'll really have to make sure we get my flats boat out to the east end for you this year.

Randall,
Mid-life crisis is supposed to be the other way. Work then, sports cars and boats now. Here I am at that point in life and working more and actually enjoying it. It's a weird world for sure.
Oops, appointment with subcontractor, got to go.

I am with Charlie. All I seem to do lately is work my butt off. Vacations get fewer and fewer, the baot is repowered, I hear the Canyons calling but just don't have the time. Five more years and I am gone, unless this turkey in the White House totally collapses things.
