Cummins question

Post by Mikey »

The installation manual for the 6BTA's says that the bottom of the expansion tank(filler tank) should be above the highest point of the cooling system. Be that true, where have you guys moounted the things. If I mount them as high as possible in the engine compartments the bottom is still lower than the top of the engines.
Whew!

that ok mickey, no problem make the top of the expansion bottle mounted on the bulkhead 1" below the engine hatch and that will work perfect.after all air is out of engine should have about 3" of antifreeze in bottom of bottle.
