My ex-boss/buddy was in Easy Company under Winters. He died several years ago before all the Band of Brothers notoriety. I found out his military history by reading the book after he died. What a special bunch of men.

He told me they weren't scared when they jumped over Normandy. When they had to make their second jump in Holland, they were all scared stiff. They knew it wasn't fun and games any more. Normandy was very sobering.
