B28 Bottom Paint Line
Has anyone relocated the bottom paint line on a B28? It seems to me to be very high on the bow on every B28 I've seen, including the one I am restoring. Would an adjusted waterline look bad? Are there any pics out there of this?

I think this is personal preferance.
I personally like the look of the bottom paint following the cine all the way up.
The only 'downside' that I see is the water / scum line at the bow.
I think is adds to the distinction of the bertrams.
Ian.

Common yatching wisdom is that bottom paint should follow the waterline, however on the Bertram I agree with Ian. My 25 came to me with the paint to the waterline and I will be bringing it up to the chine when I put the new bottom on it.
As stated this is definately a personal thing and I think there is no "correct" way to do this. As with most boating decoration decisions "do what YOU want"
