thanks guys, its a group effort.
Bob- not the same color blue. The factory exhaust and scuppers were so far off from each other I decided to stop the stripe at the exhaust so it would not look so out of wack, I guess straight edges and tape measures were not used back then.
its a gas boat, 270 gallon tank achieved by removing the sub floor, tank is stainless steel and was not my idea. it will stay in the water year round, the plan was the owner wants to bring this boat to the carolinas.
I got the boat with the gas tank and bulkhead portholes removed, the bridge was in a crude coat of gray 545 primer, and someone had refinished the transom. The original plan was the owner needed to change out the tank and clean up the bridge and change some windows.
The glass guy who started the job passed away from a form of cancer so the owner of the boat contacted me to complete the project. The job was sidetracked for a while when the owner was convinced to do more work on the boat then the original plan.
I hope Jeff is looking down on the boat and we have made him proud of where the boat has ended up.
Got new rub rail, a glasstech deck, new windows and frames, and some new hardware. Have to make side panels and the entire area between the engines is missing so that has to be fabricated. over all nothing crazy custom going on.
Boat was repowered before it came to me and it was completely rewired last winter. Going to get some custom railings and maybe a top.
First primer went on in April, then it kind of lingered all season, nice to get this thing finished

there is a terrible story to that bertram 31 gambler . the owner had a dred desease and brought the boat in for winter storage and repair. a real dedicated bertram man and a true gentlemen. i test drove the boat and put it along side the maintenace dock. to my horror the owner passed away and the family put the boat up for sale at oakdale yacth. we sold the boat at some " give away " price and the new owner took it to you. what are you doing on the boat ?we gave your name to one of the boat buyers.

Gambler was purchased by a good friend of Craig Mac's
He actually had a Henriques and was at the cross road of either doing a few things to the boat or selling it, he obviously chose to sell it and was already on the phone with me before purchasing the boat with plans of doing a few things to it. We put a tank in the boat and a few other below deck items and he ran it this summer to see how he likes it, there are plans for Gambler this winter so we will see where it goes. Gambler was a nice clean original boat and I could not believe the purchase price when I heard it

Robbie, I have to say once again......thats a great looking job.
I am extremely envious of you guys that have a building in which to store and work on your Bertrams (and other project)......I have done all of the work on DeNada outside......what a real pain.....

Harry- thanks, you should pat YOURSELF on the back for taking on a project like these in your yard. I see you guys gutting your boats down to the hulls and I try to add up in my head what we would have to charge someone to do the work. I know Capt. Pat knows what I'm talking about.

best scuppers i have ever seen in my life . robbie when i was building my boat i had a custom 316ss bow rail made about 12" high and 316 ss upper and lower tee`s and bases still in the bags never used .this for 31bertram you might be interested.that blue is beautiful as usual you picked a winning combination color scheme.

Top shelf workmanship Robbie, where did you get the 31 Bertram emblems? Paint looks great but the hours of fairing made it what it is..whole crew deserves a big pat on the back..
1966 31 Bahia Mar #316-512....8 years later..Resolute is now a reality..Builder to Boater..285 hours on the clocks..enjoying every minute..how many days till spring?

Looking good. Are you going to put storage of any kind in the side Panels?
Where did you find those chrome clam shell vents? I have the old white ones and love to replace them with chrome but just can not seem to find the right ones. The ones I find are either too small or too big. Those look just right.
