So I got to ask, beautiful work by the way, why did you not use Coosa for the painted rails? Not afraid of the wood grain photographing through in harsh climate? Had to ask!

thx for the compliments,capt pat is my coach, with a lot of patience, I initially wanted to use a composite but didn't have the tooling {Knives} available in Florida,, a guy at viking told/showed me some pics of there handrail system and I ordered 2 pieces 8' long from a shop in Ft Licquerdale for 250$, made out of clear spruce, we eased the ends to match the profile , took some measurements, screwed the aft end secure, screwed the mid section and continued to bend the mldg inboard as we went forward and secured it. Traced the outline plus 1/2" , removed the handrails roughted up the cabin top with 36 paper as well as the bottom of the rail, redrilled the holes and countersunk them{these holes also served as registration marks} primed both surfaces with epoxy and glued them together with peanut butter, and put several coats of epoxy onto the exterior and faired in the transition with peanut butter and then had a beer. Sever of the old timers carpenters agreed with the method
