Tuna Fishing Report

I made my first canyon fishing trip of the season. We decided to overnight Friday into Saturday. We left the dock at 2pm on Friday and decided to run to the dip fearing a large number of boats would be chasing the great Bigeye bite in the 100 mile square area of the Hudson canyon. We had the whole dip to ourselves. We caught one blue shark on the chunk and marked tons of bait off of the edge. We ended up going 4 for 6 on Yellowfin to about 50 lbs. We were back at the dock at 4pm saturday.
