As a transplanted yankee I have to ask...

Why would someone in St. Helena plant pigs lips somewhere? Was there a fire in their garden.. or what? Do you grow a whole pig if you only plant the lips? Or, do you just get another batch of lips? How do you know when to harvest them?

I know about investing in pork bellies.. but is there also a market for pigs lips?

Well, St. Helena is a rural Parish near Baton Rouge. Pickled Pigs Lips are big among democrats.....an entire industrial facility (plant) was devoted to the production of such lips....and pickled pigs feet, ears, snouts as well as other pink pickled pigs parts.

The President will probably declare St. Helena a federal diaster area and send Joe Biden to comfort the deprived.....
