Can anyone help me in my search for a Bertram25 1962-1972 Hard Top V-drives PROJECT BOAT. Will consider a boat with a flying bridge.

I know of a 67' 25' FB project boat. has twin inline 6's that were recent rebuilds... the boat is def a project boat. the guy wanted something like 8500 for it... comes with a trailer as well...

Wouldn't twin straight sixes designate it as an boat with IO's as opposed to Inboards/v drives?

There is a B25 hard top on the lot at Chesapeake Yacht Basin in Kilmarnock VA. 804-436-1234. Not a project, it looks to be in very nice condition. Not sure of the power. Let me know if I can help.

if you really want inboards keep looking till you find one ...they are out there....took me 3 years and was tempted by i/os a few times but glad i waited.....

Thumbs up on the inboard variation of the 25B. Keep looking...it will turn up somewhere and be well worth the wait.

I had a 25 flybridge w t-360 and v-drives cool little boat but a pain in the butt to work on Hard to change inside spark plugs and shaft alinement
was lots of fun. Good luck in your search that boat was a little bear

fred....the first time i tried to change the plugs it litterally took all day (same 360's) the trick is the right tools and dont even try to look....can do all 16 in less than half an hour.......my trick is a stubby pressed steel open end wrench like you would have for a skil saw or a router....and one of those plug sockets with a hex head....you can manuver the wrench up and down as well as back and forth....once loose i use a regular socket with friction tape on it to get the plug out and turn in the new one after hand starting.....took a few times to learn the proper angles without looking....and i dont over tighten the plugs......now shaft alignment....after 10 hours i called in a pro........and anyone who knows me knows i had to be pretty desperate to do that

Sounds like you are confirming what I once heard about V-drive boats;

"You must have faith to own a V drive because you can't see anything and faith is required to believe that there is a shaft and packing down there somewhere"

Call Allen at Wolf Wire in Riviera Beach Florida.
He has a 25 flybridge with 350/ vdrives.
Gears and vdrives are brand new updated style.

Some work has been done to the boat, but some exists. Don't know but for the right price he may sell.

scot...really not bad at all except between the engines......and you have four other hatches to get a long view.....v-drives are very accessable...
