Bill,

In my estimation, Imron is perhaps the ideal boat paint... Totally repairable, repairs blend well and virtually seamless. Holds up very well.

Hatteras has been using Imron for over 50 years on their boats. I've run and maintained Hatteras' that were over 20 years old with the factory paint job, and they still shined up like a new penny.

Imron is a maintainable paint, meaning that after the first year you do have to seal and buff it out. Once a year for hull sides & twice a year for top sides in the south Florida sun.

Don't pick an odd ball color, try to choose from the Imron stock colors. Imron can also be easily matched to any Awlgrip color, but log in and save the mixing formula for future matching.

Br,

Patrick

check out the "new" marine line of imron, nice colors.
A whole system to go with it including wood fillers, sealers and finishes, color matched sealants, etc.

Awlgrip's Oyster White is a very close match to the original Bertram gelcoat.
