anyone see Soundings July rebuilding story

Post by yankee »

July 09 Soundings had a story on restoring fiberglass boats.

There were some pic of a 31 Bahia Mar done at Slane Marine

It was Fighting lady yellow and the best looking Bahia Mar I had ever seen.

Is the owner one of the faithful?

That's not a Bahia Mar, it's an Express Cruiser, and unless my computer (or eyes) are failing me, it's whitr not yellow. Or am I missing something?

Embarrised to say that I can't recall the original owner's name at the moment, but the Bahia Mar is/was the "Sirina", powered with a pair of Yanmar 240s, I think, and owned by one of the founder's/owner's of Sirina Fire Protection in New York.

It could have sold to a new owner. It was once listed on Yacht World, but no longer there...

I briefly met the original owner once when he had the boat in Palm Beach for Rybovich to do some work, before departing for the Turks and Caicos. That was about 5 or 6 years ago.
Br,

Patrick
