Fiberglass Fresh Water tank

Post by Whaler1777 »

Just looking at my fiberglass fresh water tank in Summer Winds... Does anyone know if the fiberglass tanks are any good or should I pull it out and replace with a plastic tank?
Thanks

John - they are bulletproof. To clean it out, just put some Clorox in it, stick a garden hose down to the bottom and let it overflow into the bilge.

I cut mine out after some hard work so I could put in a fish hold and the tank after 40 years was like new. Clean yours out and you should be fine

I added a Beckson screw in deck plate to mine so that I could get in there and give it a good scrubbing. It is easier to fill through too.
