NJ coast inlets and marinas advice needed

Post by John F. »

A friend of mine is taking a summer cruise from the Chesapeake Bay up to Mass with his wife in a pleasure boat (Pearson True North). He needs advice for running up the NJ coast. Nice marinas with nice facilities with easy to run inlets. He plans on spending a night in Cape May, and would prefer to avoid AC. He plans on running outside. Any ideas?

Thanks-

Manasquan is about the easiest there is. There are good facilities up and down the river with fuel and food available on both the Brielle and Pt. Pleasant sides. Hoffmans is right before the railroad bridge and always a good stop for clean fuel.

JP's right. Unless he wants to spend the night on the hook, then there is nothing prettier than anchoring up behind Barnegat light in Myers whole and watching the sun set.
