Manasquan NJ Friday Nigt

Post by JP Dalik »

We came in late Friday evening with the boxes full of bass (legal limit of course). The trip was great the kids were happy and we found this:

1 dead 2 critical in an apparent gross miss application of boating fun.

We were only hours into the Memorial Day weekend when something went horribly wrong and one boater died and 2 were critically injured in Manasquan River.

It appears that a 15 foot boat lost control and crashed into a 30' boat. The boat then ran in circles amongst the cries of those still in the water. After agonizing minutes a center console with an unknown driver and crewmember ran onto the seen and one member jumped into the renegade boat to kill the engine. While other boats picked up survivors they realized that one person had not been accounted for.

Unfortunately that person died of severe head trauma with subsuquent drowing (reports say) and was accounted for later that evening.

Happy F*cking Memorial Day

Out in Hampton Bays, the Memorial Day death and destruction was much more purposeful.......

Make sure your sh*t is tight don't drink, and amongst all SPEED KILLS
Also very important on small, fast, agile boats to WEAR THE LANYARD KILL SWITCH.
I don't know what the world may want,
But a good stiff drink it surely dont,
Think I'll go and fix myself...a tall one.

Two boating accidents in Louisiana this month that claimed eight lives are raising questions about whether the state’s boating laws need to be more stringent.
I'm not sure but indecision may or may not be my problem.

Mike,
You have a greater probability of dying from the food at that diner rather than getting stabbed in the parking lot.
