Cockpit flooring

Post by gcreas1 »

I hope someone has experience pulling up the center panel from a B31 cockpit floor. I am hoping there is some way to get access to the fuel tank without completely dismantling the entire cockpit. It looks like the center panel has a lip that rests under the starboard and port panels. Is there some way to slide the center out without taking everything out of the boat?

Thanks

Gary,

No easy way out... On the Glass Tech style fiberglass decks, the outboards have to come up first. So engine boxes, wings, & side panels will all have be removed before the sides can be removed.

Capt. Pat is right and the tank does not come easy. Just toke mine out and was not fun. Good luck

Thanks for confirming my worst fears, at least I have enough time to get it pulled up before my tank is cut out.
