Thanks Bob. I was about to ask about this. I've saved your post about oil changes. Will correct all this in the near future. I'm from Suffolk County. Lived in Stony Brook long before SUSB. Went to high school at Seton Hall in Patchogue. Went to Dowling College in your backyard. I'm very happy to be in Eastern North Carolina at this point in my life. Miss some friends, bagels made by a Jew, and Peter Luger steak sauce. Thanks for all your help. Recover soon.
Happy to be here. Happy to be anywhere.

small world terry my son is a graduate of dowling college. i tell you if i ever saw a place that i would retire to it would be oragon inlet area. getting back to the post if you wanted to save money you could use automotive reinforced hose with a male garden hose end and a hose cap both readily available from a hardware store.you would just have to fit proper oil pan and gear case end to 1/2" hose.

i should also point out the back of the gears are only 1/2" above the bilge so removing oil thru plug would be a mess and removing oil thru dip stick hole would make me look like a asshole because i suppose to know better thats why ZF put a bulb at the bottom of the oil removal plug to catch the metalic setiment and the only way is a hose or remove the plug.

Engines rotate counter clockwise. One gear runs in forward one in reverse, so the gears run opposite one another at the output shaft. I believe both gears should rotate outboard of one another.
How do you tell if a propeller is left hand or right hand?
The tip will touch the ground pointing left or right when the blade is laid flat on the ground. Doesn't matter how you lay it down the tips only touch one way.

yes jp i inspect and clean screen the only purpose of that screen is to stop metal chip from gear from going into pump to stop a castrophic failure. the real deal in wear is the clutch face material mixing with the oil and making lines in the steels and slowly galling up the the clutch face.that setiment settles to the bottom and is removed thru that plug or attach hose ,the only way!!! don`t worry this year i will beat your 7 year old daughter in our ongoing stripe bass contest.i caught on to one of your secrets ; holding the rod upside down forward of the grip and using it like a lever with a bucktail and braid !!!!! how am i doing so far. i could make a bertram fly but landing a 30lbs. plus bass is not likely unless you there.

You can only do it if you hold a spinning real upside down and crank backwards after the bite.
This procedure is perfected only if the spinning rod is held by a sea sick fat guy who jigs during the wretching which occurs with too much alchohol being thrown out the in hole every 30-60 seconds.
Alternative method is drive your ass to Jersey and come fishing with us.
