3208 rebuilds
Anybody got a line on where I can pickup a 3208 375HP long block or complete run tested?
My old source dried up.

Bruce,
Try Tim Tyler at T&S in Crisfield md. good honest folks. They did my 3126's and 1-1/2 years later remembered me and took time to answer a question I had. The ship all over too.

Re: 3208 rebuilds
Bruce, you seem to have alot of knowledge on here. Im leaning towards a boat that has 6-92's. They are very rebuildable arent they? I have always had cats before but they arent the re-build like a detroit are they? a 550 hp can be redone for about 1500 a hole ive been told and its like taking the dog for a walk. not trying to jack your thread.............just cant keep my mouth shut when the question is soooooo close. thanks.Bruce wrote:Anybody got a line on where I can pickup a 3208 375HP long block or complete run tested?

Nothing wrong with the 3208 if the owner doesn't run the water out of it and shake and bake it.
I've seen and serviced 3208's with over 20k hours. More than anyone here would see in their lifetime, except maybe Brewster.
Depending on the model spec, some of the 692's have quirks with carbon buildup and scoring cylinders.
Any engine that's abused is gonna be junk.
