Magic in a can once again

Post by In Memory of Vicroy »

Picked up my half inch drill in a hard case at the camp last weekend..... it had been laying on a lower shelf in the shop....rusty water poured out....hmmmmm.....been there since the flood of Ike & Gustav. Opened the case, a mass of rust and the drill was frozen up tight. Gear driven drill and water & gears don't mix.....anyway, shot with CX and laid aside for a while, figured this one might be over CX's head.

Next day grabbed the chuck with some water pump pliers and wiggled it a little. Shot more CX. Waited some more. Anyeay, it finially came loose, a rag cleaned up all the rust and the motor runs like new. Took a while to free the chuck up but it finally came loose free as can be. This drill sat underwater for 5 months.

Magic in a can.
