New Yanmar 240's available

Post by Eddy G »

I saw on boatdiesel.com that Seaboard Marine has four 240 Yanmars in the crate for sale. May be the last ones out there.

They are excellent engines. Particularly for the Bertram 31.

I have them in my boat. They run. They are quiet, smooth, no smoke.

4 years and only one real issue, I blew an injector line. I would not call that an engine issue, as I am pretty confident that Yanmar would not be the place that makes the tubing and bends it. Easy fix. And the engine ran like nothing was wrong. It was messy more than anything.

Other than that, just spectacular engines.

You can still buy them outside the US.
