Tim,
I'm sorry for the loss of your pride & joy, not to mention the money gone. Many of my friends are going through the same thing here in Texas. Hang in there. Recycle it or find another one, salvage what you can off her.
I went back to our blown away marina last Saturday and my friends 31 is still on bottom as well.
Good luck

Tim, that certainly sucks. Like losing your best bird dog, boats are family. My wife and I happened to be down there cruising the Islands as a well deserved break after Hurricane Ike. Rode it out on our rental boat in Virgin Gorda. We got lucky, you did not just a few miles away. -Tom

damn hurricanes........the wheel will go around and you will find the way to be back on track.....I almost lost mine due to stupidity.......left the preparation for the last day and the batteries were completly dead..battery charger fried...no open stores to buy new ones......had to stay all night long taking out water with a fish tank pump connected to an 110 outlet. Thank God Omar did not hit us......rain only........as to rebuilding............almost anything is possible with fiberglass..........take her out.........wash the engine blocks with fresh water......re-oil.....turn it on with an independent gas tank.....
Damn, Tim. Been out of town, just got the news. Was hoping to meet with you when in the islands and spend some time fishing and sipping rum. There are several 31's on Tortola that need help if interested.
My thoughts are with you.
My thoughts are with you.
