B31 Sportfisher Outline Hi-Res

Post by JPRS51 »

I just finished creating a hi-res image of the B31. Copied it off of the best diagram I had. About to start a project managing the overhaul of several B31's and developed this so the client could play with color combos and such. Email me at jprs51@yahoo.com if you would like a high resolution copy of it.

I also have it in a dxf autocad file and can provide it in eps as vector artwork.

So, does that mean if I get the .dxf file, I can turn it into 3D, and then throw a chunk of aluminum in one of the VKC's and have a smokin' new mini B31?

Ok, someday I will get better spelling for Christmas...

I meant the VMC, not VKC...

I am not sure about that. I do nto know a thing about Autocad. I did this in Adobe Illustrator and then just exported it as a compatible autocad file.

Dug, if you have a cool little machine like that, why don't you throw a pic of a bow chock in it? then we could all have cute little bow chock copies.....

It's an Old post I know...

The price of running the Bow Chock from a solid block of 316 SS with a small enough stepover to provide an even adequate appearance would be mindboggling pricewise. Even then you would have a huge polishing cost on top to boot. Casting was and is the wise choice. Now in alum that would be another story.

Sim, you would know, and you are right.

Timmy, That is why I said aluminum.

To machine stainless...that is tough... Worse in many ways than tool steel.
