SMC (South Hampton Marine Co) boats

Has anone heard of these old boats. They have a Ray Hunt designed hull, and to me it looks like a 28 Bertram that is stretched 2 feet. there are several for sale in my area and before i take a look i was just wondering if its worth it. thanks
