tubbs new home

Post by thuddddddd »

With very little fanfare, the tubb left it's outdoor diggs, for it's new home(hopefully to be there less time than the Katrina "victims" in Huston) Nice new ,heated(soon) bldg about15 miles from the coast. Boats there, motors are done and we have a plan, sorta.
Let the games begin.

Timmmay, as your spiritual advisor, I am calling for an immediate informational blackout until we roll her out. Always leave 'em wanting more, eh? Suffering the slings and arrows that are sure to be hurled your way will serve only to distract you from the ultimate task at hand.

To the rest of you, finished pics will be made available at the appropriate time and any requests to see or visit Location X can be made to me via this forum or email. Those who offer booze, food encouragement, materials or labor will have preference. Good day...

I would take a weekend and come help if you like. It would be worth it to see it float some day. Let me know.

Brewster, I'd say, you bring the eats and the tekiller and you can come watch anytime, but having seen/been on the battle wagon, I'd rather have you help. But no cameras or recording devices...LOL

All other requests, pleas forward them to Mark

Timmmmmy,
Never thought I would say this but it looks like I may actually beat you. The owner of the yard said I will since he plans to launch me this spring whether ready or not. "Seven years is enough." The cover over Dreamsicle almost blew off in those 50 kt. winds last night. I was there until two a.m. retying and praying. Only need the cover about another two weeks and it will come off and she will fend for herself.
Washed seven years of filth off her yesterday and discovered I actually did paint her orange. Still looks amazing.
Let's try to get them done while we're still young enough to enjoy.

I thought that you weren't supposed to be distracted? Did you move Mike's 20 into the barn with the Tubb?

Thru the yrs, I've seen a lot of boats move inland for a rebuild. And they never come back to the sea.

I will be makin' book at Montauk that the Tub will never see white water.

I take back anything nice I may have ever said about you in the past.
Gotta sneak a comment in because Capt. Patrick locked the other thread. Boy what a cheap shot. Speaking of shots, don't let me see that Hattercrap at any rendezvous, I'll take my new military shotgun and put a few hundred rounds through your bow, not across it. (LOL)

The Tubb has too much 4" PVC sewer pipe duct work in it to sink too far, but half sunk it's still a good drinking platform.

Timmy, in my now official retirement, I'll come help with the now famous Tubb.....just tell me when and where.

Timmy,
Year and a half? Seems we have been discussing the Tubb as long as we have been discussing Dream(pop)sicle. Must be my imagination.
Speaking of imagination, How's this? In VA, since we don't declare party, I'm voting for Obama. Preventive move. Looks like the republicans have their pick made.

Mike,

Mikey might be saying that he'll vote for Obama in the VA Primary as a vote against Billery, then Vote McCain, (or other), in the Presidental. I've even considered that tactic on March 4th... Texas is also a "Don't ask, don't tell" state concerning party affiliation.

Glad I got the cover off this a.m. She sure looks pretty sitting in the sun.
