Has to do with whether you were properly propped with your old ones. If your WOT was reached with the 22's, you'll be a bit underpropped with these. On the other hand, most prop shops will be able to add another inch of pitch. Have that done and have them cupped and you should achieve the same speeds (or close) Walter

I have an extra set of 18 x 21's that would be better on your 31. Basically the same aspect with a little more bit and mid-range speed, but a little less on the top end. 1 1/2" shaft bore. I am an advocate of running the largest diameter you can fit under the boat.
