Roosterfishing in Costa Rica

Just got back from fishing on our boats in Golfito and Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica and the Roosterfishing was excellent. Fish up to 50 lbs. only a mile from our new location in Puerto Jimenez. We will be fishing both locations now! I posted some pics on another site if you want to check them out. Happy holidays Greg

,,,Thumbs Up,,,,,,,,,,,,,, greg ,,,hi ,,golfito is way down southwest coast near panama,,,was wondering if you came up the pacific coast and fished any of the other ports to the north Quepos, Essorio,,,,Plus golfito ,,is similar in price to penas bay in panama where the U.V partys go, at a thou a day... I am going down for the month of january again,,,and will be exploring new areas more to the south down that way,,dont know if i will get that far to the south ,,,but near there for sure,,,,,,,,,,, south of Jaco beach ............................................ Just roosters, no bill fish, ???????????? ric

I have been up north but really haven't fished much up there. In general we have the better fishing in Costa Rica (golfito/puerto Jimenez area). Jaco gets the attention because the big money. We fished for roosters this time because we have some green water that forced our marlin up to the north. Because of that the marlin were going off, right near cabo blanco. They are getting up to 7 fish landed a day, blues, blacks and stripes. Should last until 1st week in Jan.. I might be back down around the 18th of Jan.. Our fishing will be to what is was before the green water. we are moving our one boat to www.ParrotBayVillage.com it is in Puerto Jimenez. Fantastic place! If I make it down and your in CR maybe we can hook up for a day or two fishing.
