crazy day at oakdale yacth.

Post by bob lico »

oakdale put up a public notice to clean the yard out.16 trailers, some tandem wheel e/z loader at 200.00 a piece and 21 boats like a 21' searay with single mercruiser 250hp and alpha 1 out drive went for 50.00 i though about purchase and sell e-bay for capt patrick.there are 4 boats unsold that will be crushed along with 4 trailers and put in the dumpster.that mercruiser was a 2004 and the outdrive was mint.there was two of these engine combo that were sold ---------perfect for a 28bert repower or one in a 20 bert.yard will be cleared in 5 days.i will take the 32' luhrs tournament and donate the mercruisers to this site.
"i am friends with capt. patrick" won`t cut it this time sent me the check made out to his name and i will release the engines.6 pair of lee outriggers were crush but i will confer before the 4 pair of 454 mercruser/crusaders are let go.

mike i will check today as of last night there were 4 boats and 4 trailers with no takers.belive it or not there is no way to dispose of a boat on long island so they have to take a excavator and crush it then in the dumpster.tom will not allow outsiders and would be mechanics come in and remove engines and drives -------------liability.

rawleigh sometimes you just wish you had the room like two years ago they disposed of a rabovich, the teak work was beyond beautiful .one of the best teak salon, galley area i ever saw.the law says you can`t place items like a fuel tank in the dumpster so he had one of the yard man take a chainsaw to the teak sole to get to the tank!!
engines ;there is a lineup in the maint.house,454 mercruisers/volvo/crusaders-ethanol,and yammar blowups due to alluminum water pump carriers, belts and owner not shutting down on time.

what kind of "mini" trailer?

I have a trailer that had a 16' boat on it, I dont have much use for the thing.

perfect for a small boat or better yet- a skiff

Mike O; I hope you mean you need an engine for the B20 and not the Baron?
PS; Yacht World has a B20 they are calling a Baron. Price $24000 if I remeber correctly

Straight inboard is fine, Bob. The Baron has a velvet drive Transmission mated to a Stern Powr.
