61' Weaver sunk

Post by Greg A. »

 The 61' Weaver "Tar Baby" sunk. Capt was arrested and charged w/being under the influence. Word is his reading (bac) was .19%. Not savy enough to link photos, but they are at www.thehulltruth.com under 61' Weaver. Pretty boat!

Here's the Tar Baby floating, being towed in to Orange Beach.
Anybody looking for a fixer-upper here you go. What-a-shame.

I'm told that the bad part was that the hole wasn't all that big. Maybe if the captain would've had his senses about him he could've opened up the crash pump valves and kept her from going down. A friend of mine saw the hole, and he said it wasn't much bigger than your fist (his quote). She's high and dry right now at Saunders in Orange Beach.

Well if you were wandering what kind of damage was done to Tar Baby, take a look.
