Men- I have a 1983 B26 (one of those straight inboards boats) and am building new tackle lockers to replace the two helm benches. The boat is all original gelato and I am planning to paint the tackle lockers with Alexseal roll on two part. The boat is WHITE. But the paint company has a bunch of versions of white.
Some day I hope to paint the entire boat top and bottom but rigtt hr now I just want to match the lockers to the rest of the boat as best I can. Is the right choice here “oyster white”?
Thanks guys

I'd take a good photo, yet better a paint flake, directly to Alexseal. They would know.

Oyster White is the original Bertram colour.............but likely the exposed faces of your boats 'oyster white' surfaces gelcoat etc. have faded a bit so if it were me I'd take a sample piece [drawer or cupboard front or panel or whatever] and see if a paint shop can tint 'oyster white' to the aged shade you have and wish to match?

Joe
I watched a glass guy re-glass 3/4 of one side of a boat. I took a core out of the side of the boat, took it to the Fiberglass Supply house. They used the computer matching system to match the gel.
He closed up the hole and proceeded to gel the section of the boat that the owner wanted repaired. When he was done, I was shocked at the results. You could not tell the difference. It matched perfectly to my eye. He called it 95% match and said in a couple of years it would be perfect.
My suggestion would be to see if you can take a hatch or something to the supply house and see if they can match it.
