Re: Bayliss Bertram
Owner wrote something about posting more pictures, but nothing happened.
There are so many beautiful details in that boat, like teak deck contours, tiny steps down to cabin, cockpit air inlets, cabin ceiling and much more...

Re: Bayliss Bertram
Some nice work there. Just not a fan of the head up where the v berth is or was.

Beautiful teak work. Some of the best I've seen!
Re: Bayliss Bertram
I agree, best teak work, where are the deck hatches? How seamless?

Re: Bayliss Bertram
It’s gorgeous….
But me n my .02 cents as a not rich person that works on my own boat says top notch work and beyond. Awesome detail…. Then comes how the hell do I service this boat… crammed systems. If I had more $ to hire good help…do they service the systems or just do the ez stuff. Yes, more money to pay to do it right like Bugatti Veyron owners need too spend it’s a different story.
Awesome boat…hope it sells fast with happy owners.

Re: Bayliss Bertram
I wonder how long it took them to figure out how to stuff all that stuff into a 31.
They missed the KISS memo.
Have to say, beautiful job, but was it worth it.

IMHO this is not the engine compartment somebody dream of...definitely not the engine shape of $1.15 MLN priced boat

Re: Bayliss Bertram
The owner of the boat had posted here back when it was being built.
Have to wonder what new build is in progress?

Re: Bayliss Bertram
That’s one heck of a nice boat. We can all argue for $1mm I’d prefer to have it customized to my taste. But she’s pretty darn sweet.

Re: Bayliss Bertram
There is a lot of money in that boat, but I don't think he will get his price. That is a really nice boat though.

Re: Bayliss Bertram
At least on the port side the dry exhaust is fully wrapped, starboard dry looks like wrap has gaps...maybe just picture angle or early on before finishing.franzmerenda wrote: ↑Jul 30th, '24, 01:18 IMHO this is not the engine compartment somebody dream of...definitely not the engine shape of $1.15 MLN priced boat
Balance of the boat looks impeccable, love the wiring and attention to detail on the glass work inside and out. How they crammed the stabilizer in there is incredible, also rear hatch access shows a good amount of room for steering components, bilge pump etc. The fuel tank layout has to be quite unorthodox to achieve 200+ gallons. I think we saw some early on pictures some time back of the tank.
The design...I can appreciate although not the way I'd have done. Especially the head...but I guess more of a picnic day boat.

Re: Bayliss Bertram
It happens to see some pretty nice job on these boats nowadays; more than often for less than those figures

Re: Bayliss Bertram
I plan on tackling the interior of my 31 at some point and saved a bunch of pictures of what they have done. Not a fan of the potty up front - but I d like some of the other ideas for the sink and refrigerator.

Re: Bayliss Bertram
That’s a good use of otherwise dead space for all that wiring

When production Center Consoles are going for over a million, why are we cringing when a 31 Bertram is customized from the ground up by a high end yacht builder with a million dollar price tag. I'm glad to see what was done, putting some new ideas into my memory bank.
