What props to buy?
31 Bahia Mar with 315 Yanmars and 1 1/2 to 1 transmissions. I’m currently running 3 blade nibral wheels 18X19 and want to buy ACME 3 blade wheels. Folks at ACME are telling me that due to the unique design of their props 18x19 ACME wheels may not be what I should be using. Looking for someone running 315 Yanmars with same gears that can tell me what they are running for wheels and their Preformance with them.

What is Acme recomending? Do their props have a larger blade area?
You need to find out from them why they think you need a different size prop. I have Cummins and most of us with Cummins are running 20 or 21 inch props.

Shoot Brewster a PM, I believe he has 315's Yanmars in his 31 Bahia Mar.
I'm also on board with speaking with ACME, they know their props and would be best to dial you in.
Odd going with 1-1/2:1 gears on a high-reving diesel like Yanmar. The norm seems to be larger diameter wheels to achieve the best performance on our boats. But what is the norm is not always best for whatever reasons.
Good luck.
