Rear bulkhead
Happy Memorial Day all, how does the wood trim around the cabin door attach to the bulkhead on my 28?. Have a creaking noise when we’re rocking on anchor I’m sure there’s a little rot at the bottom the noise sounds like it’s coming from the wood trim?. Any thoughts appreciated.
Re: Rear bulkhead
Mine was teak and was attached with screws that were hidden behind wooden plugs. Have to gouge out the plugs to get to the screws, If I did it again - - I would probably use starboard or wood and paint it - Keeping up with teak trim in Florida is a pain

Re: Rear bulkhead
Mine too.
Get a sharp knife and create a void between the deck and the trim so there's no friction between these two.
If the squeaking persists come back to us, we may have a demolition idea handy!!
