I believe that a number of us got a ride on a 51 with the stabilizer at the boat show a few years ago. Spectacular ride.

Personally, if I was going to spend that kind of money, I might be inclined to find an old 54 and redo it stem to stern (and use the saved $1,000,000 for fuel)....but it's hard to imagine being unhappy with the 51.

If you're interested in a 54 I have a friend that has a 1984, he removed the detroits, put CAT c18 in it (just put them in place) and lost interest in the project. Boat is in great condition. Engines are 2003 but were stored until 2 years ago when he finally installed them. Boat is located in Puerto Rico.

Having rebuilt my B42 , iam just not up for a major project, i’ve read what i can and listened to a few people and i’ve settled on a Bertram 510. hard to find in NZ so the other boats on the list are the Maritimo 52 and Salthouse 57, the later is a Semi production boat build here in NZ but very very hard to buy as most owners sit with them until they retire from boating, beautiful boat, but for the money a good B 510 would be a great boat. again hard to find in this part of the world. so if you know of a good one , i’d love to hear about it
cheers Todd
