Source for Morse Ball Joint Rod Ends?

Post by Alex »

I must have some galvanic corrosion going on in my starboard rudder. The ball joint rod end rusted so bad and thin that it popped off the post. The B28-style rudders were too small to begin with. Having just one of them really sucks. The bolt holding clamp block in place looks like it's been on the bottom of the Atlantic for 30 years, so I was lucky to have the sole remaining port rudder.

I found a source for the clamp block, but can't seem to find an on-line source for the ball joint rod end that provides enough information that I know I'm ordering the right part. The rod end is 1/2"

I'll post photos of the rudder shelf tonight with the glavanic corrosion questions.

Alex: Capt. Pat offers these. B31 style.

I've also bought the spherical ball joint ends like you have from this company. They offer SS corrosive environment versions as well. The standard 22mm joint I bought from them a couple of years ago cost @$22.00+/-.
