It will very depending on the year built. Pre 1973 boats were heavier due to the use of more glass.

Here are the listed weights for gas-powered versions according to an original marketing brochure (late 60s/early 70's):

Flybridge Cruiser: 10,600 lbs.
Sportfisherman: 10,300
Bahia Mar: 9,400
Hardtop Cruiser: 9,400

These numbers strike me as light, but keep in mind it is the boat coming off the assembly line with no customer options, gear, fuel, etc.

Tommy

I thought the boat lightened up in 73 when the gas shortage hit. My 75 was advertised as 10,600. I was under the impression that the pre 73 Fly Bridge Cruiser came in at around 12,000 lbs. A friend of ours had a 68 and it definitely was heavier. It actually road differently that ours.

Tommy, Check that brochure for the Bahia Mar's weight again, I think it was listed as 8,400 lbs late 60's / early 70''s [ie: pre 1973.]

After reading the answers, I found a old Bertram brochure on the web and it had it listed at 8400 which seems a little light.

Preston & Buzz, I have multiple copies of factory brochures, and one shows 8,400 lbs and another shows 9,400 lbs; so go figure. Reminds me of the old proverb: “The man with one clock is certain of the time; but the man with two clocks is never quite sure.”

Tommy: Indeed, the brochures seem to indicate dry weights including engine package options sometimes.......and sometimes not! The brochure I saw 8400# listed was printed in 1969 and seemed to be dry weight including the gas engine package............it would be nice to have a section of this B31 website dedicated to old brochures and tech tips.

I believe there are a few old brochures on the retired B31 website and there's now a lot of old literature/owners guides on the current Bertram website, posted there I assume because old Bertrams never die however those that know them do.
