Spotlight mounts

Post by Donmystic1 »

Looking for ideas to mount a remote controlled spotlight.

Something like my radar mount on the front of the flybridge.

I'm not a fan of spotlights...I know you didn't ask, but figured I'd toss out that tidbit of non info. I hate you can go from seeing quite well in the dark to not being able to see anything with a split second of spotlight. Usually a good meaning visiting crew does the honors.

That said...if mounting to bridge area, keep in mind if the beam of light hits the bowrail you"lol lose a good deal of your night vision as it reflects back.
Spotlights are great to see buoy numbers with light...just can't see the buoys when lights off em.

Pet peev of mine...
