For those of you that attended Uncle Vic's Rodeo... At least we have some good memories. I don't think I can get the Bertram down South Pass anymore. We ran down South Pass last Friday in a catamaran to go tuna fishing and marked 3' in the "channel." Too risky.

I thought that place was re-built after Katrina.

It was, and they did a nice job.

But they just can't keep it dredged. Vic used to say that it was the constant running of barges through there that kept it deep. I wonder what happened.

I went in the south pass about six years ago and it was sketchy back then. There were some shallow spots. Maybe some day they will dredge it.
