You Live, You die, But did you ever fish the Memorial UVI?

Post by mike ohlstein »

Ok, it's time for a serious show of hands.

Who is going to go to Panama, and how many of you will there be? Several people have contacted me privately about going, and some who were originally interested in going have dropped out. But this is it. I have to send them a load of dough, so let's all be sure about this.

I will be starting to collect deposits within the next 10 days, so if you're coming, please be ready to pony up. If you're unclear about the details, they're all spelled out in the sticky thread above.

I wish I could come and meet you guys, but it’s completely out of my schedule and completely out of my budget.
Anyway, since I don’t fish and don’t eat fish, I would be a burden.
Still, I would want to come! I hate 15 hour planes too...damn it !

Whoever is going should contact TSL and put a deposit down. They are expecting your email and/or call.

I would have done the whole thing myself, but so many people who were initially interested seem to have had a change of heart.

Anyway, please email Bonnie at bkarp@tropicstar.com

Just tell her that you're with the B31 group, or mention my name. She has all of the date and pricing information. After you've made your reservation, she will check with me to make sure that you are actually part of our group (as this is a public forum, anyone can claim to be with us and get our pricing).

If you would, please just post a confirmation here on this thread. All are welcome. As it's a brave new world, I'm even considering adding a women's category.....

Mike,

We are in. Looking to drop the deposit on them this coming week.

I’m thinking of getting a set of custom spin casting rods made for my brother and father to commemorate this trip, have them sent down prior to arrival to suprise them and be used for a non-marlin day. We’ll see.

I’m pretty excited as you can probably tell.

Finally got a chance to sit down and take care of a little business myself. Just emailed my deposit to Bonnie. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Did we collect any more carcasses on this trip or is it just 10 or so hearty saps?
