So my initial plan was to paint both the dinette benches and the front face of the galley. Now that I've removed the old cabinet where the icebox would have been I may be able to replace the formica on the draw and build in another door where I am storing the lifejackets. Instead of painting I could replace the formica, as the surrounding area otherwise looks pretty good. Still planning on painting the dinette boothes. I would appreciate advice from an aesthetic standpoint if I should paint the galley as well? A couple of these picture are old from when I bought the boat.

I recently put laminate on my old fridge to match the rest of the Formica.
I was able to get a bunch of sample swatches from Wilsonart to match the color as close as possible.
Cutting it to perfect size was going to be a challenge. You use contact cement and lay it up.
A local cabinet guy said he didn't want to attempt it, so I was on my own. It came out perfect.
I used a set of shears that I found referenced on YouTube. It made the job really easy to cut.
I had to lay it within a frame on the fridge front. Cabinets are different. You could actually cut it once glued to the plywood; which should be much easier. And you might not need the shears.

How are the cabinets fastened to the cabin sole and the bulkheads? The formica on mine is in pretty decent shape but I need to replace a section of the cabin sole underneath the forward corner and the seat for the lower helm. I don't see any way to do this without removing the cabinets.

Just as an FYI I did contact the folks at Wilson Art, they believe mine looks like it could be Nepal Teak, 7209 https://www.wilsonart.com/nepal-teak-7209?q=7209
They are sending me a sample to confirm, thought having these links may be beneficial to future searches

I may make a door for the gallery and cover it in laminate and replace the laminate on the drawer. I'm likely to paint the dinette but still undecided.

It is a solid surface counter, I think Corian but may be another brand
