Repowered the Baron
I just launched my repowered Baron. I took out the 12 year old 2,000 hour 5.7 Volvo Gsxi with the composite XDP drive and replaces it with a new 6.2 CE 380 hp running a DPS drive 2.14 ratio and FH9 props.I am going through the break in process now , so no full throttle runs yet but my initial sense is that the extra power is very snappy. I ran it briefly up to 5,000 rpm and saw 53 Knots on the GPS so, we should see at least 60 Kt at the 6,000 rpm limit. The boat as usual still felt very stable and controlled at that speed.

Sounds great! Pics please!..
I was considering a 28 Baron which frequently comes back to haunt me for letting it go. Gorgeous boat.

Re: Repowered the Baron
Lars, mine is a 20. I'll try to find a way to post pics, on holiday for a bit, so I have some time, sort of.
Re: Repowered the Baron
20 Baron + 380hp = very snappy?
This might be a tad bit understated, don't you think? We want video!!!
