Re: Mermaid Bench
Yannis merely a phrase meaning any alcohol. I forget things get lost in translation from country to country. Much like many of our nations youth I need to be more sensitive. (Read tongue in cheek) see I am already more sensitive....
Wisconsin grows lots of potatoes but isn't really known for making vodka. Wisconsin is known more for turning most adult beverages into septic tank filler.
We may have the market cornered on Micro breweries though. One on every corner and most garages or basements. Some of these guys are brewing beer so strong you can't stand more than a glass or two.

Mark,
You may think of things, which is ok with me. But to consider an ISO 2004 statement as an alternative to YOUR definition? LOL, I love how the world works !!!

Yannis, I'm in the dark. What is an ISO 2004 statement?
Re: Mermaid Bench
True, but I tend to do sit when drinking so I can have a couple more...MarkS wrote: We may have the market cornered on Micro breweries though. One on every corner and most garages or basements. Some of these guys are brewing beer so strong you can't stand more than a glass or two.
Re: Mermaid Bench
Carl, Mark,
ISO, followed by a number, denotes a certain set of standards followed by a company to produce their goods.
For example that no childhood labor is involved, that a certain procedure is observed concerning employee risks, that a procedure is followed for this or that , so that eventually the company can claim to be certified by this ISO plus the number.
In this case I just meant, with a humoristic tone, that the standard IS the book definition of the Devils Urine to be a specific vodka drink and not just ANY drink, as Mark meant and probably everybody, but me, understood.
Nothing too important really, only to agree with Mark about the sensitivity necessary when attempting to understand a simple notion, by people of different origins!
Cheers !
