Re: Bertram 31 Hull # 145
I think we will need a little more information thnt the production number.
Do you know where it originated from, the prior owner, any names on her etc. Do to it being an early model, the person that has it or knows of it might not realize they have it or know where it is.
Remember there were no hull numbers until 1972, and hull no. 145 is probably around 1965.

Tiki,
My 1961 31 Express was hull 186 the original sticker under the port V berth was date 12-13-1961 which is the 85 hull ever made by Bertram. So hull 145 is the 44 th hull made sometime in 1961 also. Where was the last place that the boat was. What was the boats name and who was the original owner? What style was it , a Sportfish, Fly Bridge Cruiser, Express, Sedan or a Moppie race boat?
Cappy what was your hull number I know it was a low hull number.

Re: Bertram 31 Hull # 145
Tiki,
Judging by my number, the factory made either 85 or 86 boats in 1961. They usually shut down for the holidays just before Christmas so I don't think they made more than 87 or 88 boats max in 1961.

As stated above we need more information. There was more than one 3i built in 1961.
We need an idea of location
Name on the boat
Prior owners name
What model? Bahia Mar, Fly Bridge, etc.
That would be a good start. It is possibly someone on the board might even own her.

I don't think anymore info is needed...either someone has that hull number or they don't. I don't....
However Tiki, outside our immediate circle I am sure we know of many other 31's. If I knew a particular model you were looking for I'd stop and ask the owners if I saw them around. I wouldn't just hop in the car and drive over to a club over in NJ where there used to be 2 Hardtop Cruisers and a Soft Top Convertible Cruiser if you knew the boat you were looking for was a Flybridge Cruiser or a Sportfisherman.

Tiki,
I have a 63 that has no numbers on it. It’s a 31 flybridge sportfish. If you don’t find the one you are looking for this boat is for sale and a great project.
