Bruce,

I just got my estimate for rebuild of port motor, removal of old gas tank and installation. Wanted to touch base with you on a couple of details and get your opinions.

You can call me at your convenience at 917-714-3871

Thanks in advance.

Since I'm home bound with a bronchial infection, I'll give you a buzz later this morning.

Bruce,

I have suffered with many of those. I hope you feel better sooner than soon.

Dave,
That's why I'm home now, to mass up on antibiotics and happy pills so I can try and knock it down to a point of one, not infectious to anyone anymore and two to make the keys. We shall see how it goes.

I sure do want to make it since the following Friday I have to drive out to Dallas/Ft Worth and turn right around again to pick up a car with a buddy.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Bruce,

Thanks for the prompt call and valuable information, You sounded pretty good on the phone, I guess those antibio's are doing the trick. I'm also taking antibio's for chest congestion and gonna pop a happy pill for my back pain and shoulder pain before I go to sleep. Feel better my friend.

Harv,
Not so good this am.
Sound like gravel Girtie.

Need to expand medication. You know if 1 pill is good, 4 are better.

Still would like to head on down to Duck. We'll see how the day progresses.

Good luck with your project.

Bruce- You stirred memory lane. How many people remember Gravel Gertie? A piece of Americana slipping away. Along with Dick Tracey. Walter

Sept of 44' Gertie joined comic book cast.

My dad working for Philco back then was on loan doing defense contractor development on radar systems.

After the war Philco had him working on advancements in radio broadcasting and ran a radio station in NY for a while and made tapes of all the radio shows.

Dick Tracey, Adventures of Maisie, Ozzy and Harriet, Sam Spade, Superman, Thin Man, Ellery Queen, Bob Hope, just a few.

I listened to them all growing up, and read the comic books.
Sadly the tapes started deteriorating sometime in the late 70's to the point of unusable.

Back then it was cars and girls and if I had had any sense I would have rerecorded them to cassette from the reel to reel and now to cd's.

I would love to listen to that all over again.
