Marine Exhaust Systems of Alabama (MESA)

Post by John F. »

I'm pretty sure that Crows Nest has a bad exhaust manifold gasket on the port motor, right side (Detroit 8.2 marinized by J&T). It is also the manifold that has had a crack (fixed by J&B Weld) for years. I found Marine Exhaust Manifolds of Alabama online, and they're catalog lists 8.2 Detroit J&T Manifolds--the manifolds have been out of production at J&T for a decade or so and I can't find one anywhere. Anybody use MESA or know anything about them? The manifold is listed at $1850.

Thanks-

John

They are in Fairhope where Harry Babb is, you might pm him to get some local knowledge but they have been mentioned in other posts as being a good company.

john,
i used them in the past, and they are great to work with. i believe the guy's name is Mike.
i had to return a bunch of 6" exhaust tubing, and there was no issue at all.

My first post here. I have Used MESA several times. All were parts for Cat 3208TA. Cheaper than Cat and everything has functioned as it should. Bought two exhaust manifolds and a after cooler. Very happy with their service and quality.
