Hard enclosure for a Bridge.

Post by Carl »

My neighbor is looking to have a hard enclosure built for his bridge.

He's tired of replacing the roll up curtains every few years, tired of "trying" to see thru even when new.

Anyone around here in the Northeast that I can point him to...seems crazy to bring boat to the Carolina s.

Thanks,
Carl

That's a lot of weight to put up that high... It will need to be build as light as possible... I'm thinking something like a structural foam or a honeycomb core... And the lightest possible FRG layup...

LOL...
Hard enclosure for a 57 Egg Harbor, not a 31.

I would think he might need a nasval architect for design and weight considerations.

I would start with places like Holtz, and I believe there is one around the Highlands
/sandy hook area but their name escapes me.

Issue is he is also looking at a top side paint job to make it look good.

Tony,
Holtz is one I did not think of.

Where you thinking of Lockwood in South Amboy? In and about the Highlands I know Wagners and Belford, but didn't think they did anything like what he wants.

I think he's toying with hard panels in a curtain to cost of going full enclosure...

Peter,
No he didn't reach out to Henriques...however he did inquire at Viking, they gave him we are very busy number.
Henriques does custom work on other boats?

Yes Lockwood.

Henriques is just up the road from my boat. I have never heard of them working on other boats.

Think we got it, looks like Costas Enclosures in Little Egg can give him what he wants done.

Appreciate the help.
