Pretty boat, crappy photo
I was in my flats skiff yesterday coming in from Conch Reef heading towards Snake Creek and I see a real pretty all blue (blue bottom too) 31 haulin ass. I turned to get closer and oogle her a little. Wish I would've snapped a picture of her underway, such a pretty boat and that bright blue glossy bottom, heck yeah.
Anyway, took a pic of her as she later idled by, backlit shot, not the best.
Anyone know her? Couldn't quite make out the name, there was graphics of some sort on the transom too.

Isn't that one of those Trojan/Chris Craft new Italian import models?

Nice looking 31. Loaded.
I don't think Zero Cavity has that much electronic equipment on her. Plus the windows on Jerry's boat are not glassed in.

No, it's def not Jerrys boat.
Forgot to mention it's a SF, or a open bulkhead converted FBC.
Much lighter blue that zero cavity, like a brilliant powder blue.
Closest I see on an Awlgrip chart is their Marlin Blue... Looked like the bottom was the same, with a white boot.
I'm thinking maybe the whole boat was re-gelcoated. It really was impressive underway, moving pretty fast for a 31 too.
I did see Yanmar decals.
Looked like it came out of the Coral Bay Condo area, or somewhere in that area. Someone poured a lotta time and coin into her, that I know.
If you click on the pic, it'll take you to my photobucket and you'll see the whole picture. This site is clipping it and lost the cockpit.

Re: Pretty boat, crappy photo
Don't mean to rain on the Keys parade, but that beautiful green water years ago, wasn't so green, much more bluish, like in the Bahamas. It's all a result of the phosphates and fertilizer that has fed the algae growth. I've been here since the early sixties and unfortunately degradation has occurred. With the expensive sewage treatment system in place and hopefully restriction of the fertilizing from the north, read sugar cane, perhaps we can salvage the water for everybody to enjoy.

On a good note, coming down the dock from Zane Greys after tuna ahi poke, yum, saw several phosphorescent jelly fish in the very shallow water out to my slip, all is not lost.very cool.
