Not even sure what to say about that boat. I will say someone is handy with wood tools, sand paper and spar varnish. Lot easier to just buy an old Chris Craft if you dig old wooden boats. One man's junk is another man's treasure, to each his own. He looks happy :-)

WOW
Looks like from the add, this is his hobby/business. Take an old boat and turn it into something unique. The question is, what do you do with it after you buy it. Cruising only. Plus you better have the funds to keep it maintained to continue to look like that.

That looks like a punishment. I can admire the talent and hardwork that went into it but the upkeep must eat you out of house and home.

Re: 25 BERTRAM REDO
The wood around the anchor locker needs to be redone. Also it looks like alot of added weight.
I like the rear facing seating though.

To go to the bow it's a disaster.
Not only there is no roof rail to grab, but with the slightest mist or water the varnish on both gangways becomes an ice skating rig.
And, overall, its rather ugly imho. Reminds me of a Chinese pagoda of some sort !

Here is a link to O'Neill Craft's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ONeillCraft There are lots of boat pic's on the Facebook page.
Here is a link to a 28' Bertram that he did: http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2014- ... -102273206
If you take the time to look at the pictures of the 28 footer, it's a much nicer looking boat. He made the house on the 26 footer too tall and it looks out of proportion. As for the woodwork, i agree it's a lot of upkeep, but the 28 is a work of art. Hate to guess how many man hours went into that boat. He is obviously very talented, and he's buying 28 foot hulls for nothing and selling them for 300,000.
