We live on the Northhern Neck very close to Kinsale, but on The little Wicomico off of Smith Point. We used to go to the restaurant there and have been to Lunas in callao which just closed. Did not know they were connected. Very sorry to hear about this tragedy.

Another local marina near Lottsburg has also recently closed, Coan river marina. There was a local Bertram 31 that spent winters on the hard there and a very nice 31 from Maryland used to come for work/improvements in the summers. Sorry to see these two marinas go away.

Places to go in the boat or plane are getting more scarce around here. Hilda Crocketts Chesapeake House on Tangier Island had a kitchen fire this summer and will be closed until ext year. Even Chrisfield isn't what it used to be.

Yikes! Near me (30 miles) and I hadn't even heard about it! What a shame! Probably no one around to report it early on. Of course these thing accelerate so fast with all of the fuel, wood and fiberglass that it was probably out of control quickly.

Rawleigh,
I hadn't heard about it either. Didn't make the big Rappahannock Record.
