Sea Trial!!! + video
Ok after years of work I got to put the hammers down! No vibration,no smoke, silky smooth and PLENTY of power! Yea I had a big fat smile on my face LOL. We have to put more pitch in the props WOT was 35Kts @ 3060 RPM 82% load. At idle (700 RPM) both engines in gear I was at 5.3 knots. With Capt Pats oversize rudders not only did I turn on a dime I had full turning with only one engine in gear....here is a short clip.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq9z39P7jAI

jimmy those are my exact numbers but a little higher speed at idle i normally have to run on one engine in 5 mph. zone and even then about 5.7 knots .what are your prop specifications now?

4 blade Acme props 21x23 not sure of the cup size yet, we are going to get a full range of numbers and give them to the prop guy and let him work his magic we are thinking another inch of pitch maybebob lico wrote:jimmy those are my exact numbers but a little higher speed at idle i normally have to run on one engine in 5 mph. zone and even then about 5.7 knots .what are your prop specifications now?

Re: Sea Trial!!! + video
i need side view of hull but it looks right .at 22knot boat should be touching water (white water) directly below pillar and at 32 knots riding on inner strakes ,bow proud water breaking at main bulkhead if so change to entire prop. cupped (around entire ear) and raked 5 degrees and she will carry herself to 38 to 40 knots with go to sleep at wheel in 3 to 4' seas. best fuel economy back off to 2300 rpm ------------trust me!

Sweet. Glad it all worked out for you. That is one heck of a boat you built.
