Getting close to setting the stingers and have a question on the lay-up. I'm using epoxy & 1708, question is; how many layers of 1708?
thanks

Scot,
For stringers, the cross section of glass should be a tight 3/8" - 1/2". The stringers are the backbone of the hull, don't skimp...

Re: Stringer lay-up Q:
Thanks Patrick,
That should be 5-7 layers, about what I was thinking.
BTW I laid some glass yesterday into a mold I built for fabricating corners and I can't believe how much easier (and faster) the epoxy soaked the cloth with a 10% add of denatured alcohol into the mix. Huge time saver and it really enhanced the quality of my backyard efforts. Nice tip.
