Today I put the layer of 1708 on one of the sides of the 1" pvc. Tomorrow I'll put it on the other side and will fabricate the other part of the wall. Unfortunately, no one sells coosa board here in PR. I redid the transom on my Mako last August and bought the coosa in FL ans shipped it here, shipping and taxes were almost the same as the sheet, too expensive. Today I faired the brackets that I made for the back, replaced the piece of plywood that I had to cut yesterday (closet wall) and removed the back wall as it was completely rotted.

What's the recommended material to fabricate the back wall?

Finished sanding everything today, also closed the holes for the dual controls and opened the holes for the single controls. Finished sanding the 3m filler on the port side, stbd. side to be sanded tomorrow. After this, prime all the filler and start working on the window frames (removal, prime and seal).

Saturday started filling all small details with filler and sanding them. Should finish the sanding in 1-2 weekends and then priming them again.

Finished with all the sanding last weekend. The whole boat is sanded and started priming today. Check with General Propeller in Fl. It was the cheapest of all including Deep Blue Yacht. I was between Aquamet 19 and 22 and the difference was only $200.

Bad news,
Called the marina where the mechanic that was going to remove the engines is located and they want the boat insured to haul it out, I'm not going to spend money on that as all I'm interested is the engines and I wanted to discard the hull.

No, they are mounted on a boat and its an estate sale. The PO died 2 years ago. They are in a 28ft dual console in the Florida Keys.

I found a pair of Yanmar 230hp engines with 1.5:1 transmissions. Ideally I would need 2:1 transmissions, but I can get the engines for around $10k. Right now the detroits are 170hp with 1.52:1 transmissions.

Would the Yanmars with the 1.5 work on my boat? Hatteras 34.

Finished fairing where the cleats go. Also sealed where the helm was. It will be replaced with a new system. For last, removed the HEAVY engine hatches and replaced them with a 3/4" wood sheet that comes with aluminum on each side. This is way lighter. Almost forgot, had to make a new step to go dow...

Today I had to cut where the cleats go in the back as the inside core was rotten, core was replaced and 2 layers of mat to seal everything back.

Hey,

You are correct on the generator info. Originally it had a 3kw. This one is 8kw and will be going the other way around as its not serviceable the way they installed it. Its from 1989 and it only has 257 hrs.

Progress has been slow this last 3 weeks, removed the Hynautic steering system from the boat and had to remove both rudders and their bushings as both were frozen in place. Cleaned and greased everything up and installed it back last weekend.

I started today wiring the windlass. After that was done I started with the doors.
